  • Marbling (Intramuscular Fat) Genetics dictate how well fat is distributed within the muscle, which directly affects tenderness, juiciness, and flavor.
  • Feed Conversion Efficiency Animals with superior genetics can convert feed into high-quality muscle mass faster and with less waste.
  • Muscle Growth Yield Selecting for optimal carcass yield ensures more marketable meat per animal.

An animal with great meat quality is only valuable if it can survive and thrive in its local climate. 

Genetic selection focuses on hardiness and resilience.
