ATTENTION FARMERS & LIVESTOCK KEEPERS: SICK ANIMAL? DON’T MOVE IT!
Moving an animal that shows signs of illness is one of the fastest ways to spread contagious diseases.
If your animal is showing signs of illness, follow these steps:
1. Do not sell or transport it. Moving it puts other animals and your neighbors' livelihoods at risk.
2. Do not bring it to public livestock markets or slaughter facilities.
3. Isolate the animal immediately in a safe, separated area.
4. Contact your veterinary officer right away for assistance and disease control advice.
When in doubt, don't move. Report!
